Apervita is the nation’s first purpose-built for healthcare cloud platform which allows users to easily and rapidly build and share applications and information.  Applications on the Apervita platform are used by over 2,000 hospitals today, which we expect to grow to 3,000 by the end of the year. Organizations from the Centers for Disease Control to The Joint Commission to some of the nation’s largest Payers use the Apervita platform to help them reach their clinical, financial and operational goals.

The Opportunity

As a Sales Solution Architect at Apervita you will have an opportunity to transform healthcare by solving digital challenges that have not been well addressed in the past. Our Sales Solution Engineers get the chance to move beyond the traditional notion of simply being an implementer. You get to become an inventor.

Every day will be spent working with our prestigious customers to deliver innovative solutions to healthcare's toughest problems.  

From early pre-sales through enterprise adoption phases you will actively engage with experts from major health enterprises, designing and developing solutions using Apervita’s platform. As we pioneer into areas such as Machine Learning and Blockchain, you will contribute to and influence product roadmap, technical leadership and subject matter expertise across the organization. We will look to you to create, evolve and mature demonstration designs and deliverables in support of pre- and post-sales efforts with current customers and the market at large. You will also guide internal and external stakeholders on macro and micro solutions architecture and approaches. Overall, you will be our ambassador for the Apervita platform and a true advocate for the customer.

  • An intuitive approach to shaping early state platform complexities through how a customer can and will continue to utilize a platform in future state
  • Strong grasp of how multiple diverse business systems, technologies and processing environments work
  • A firm understanding of different data models, such as FHIR and HL7
  • You’ve mastered the art of “teaching yourself” through online resources for things you don’t yet know


  • At least 7+ years of experience and deep familiarity with the health enterprise architectures
  • Proven background in sales engineering, customer-facing solution architecture or other external delivery focused roles
  • Experience with technologies, methodologies and best practices in applications architecture including Python, MongoDB, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, SQL syntax and EHR APIs (e.g. Epic, Cerner, Allscripts)
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
  • Time at a smaller, high growth company is helpful and Cloud-based platform experience preferred
  • Advanced technical or science degree is a plus
  • Domain expertise in Big Data, Machine Learning, Serverless computing is also a plus
